About

Lisa Chant is a magazine editor, author and journalist with a voracious appetite for knowledge – from the serious (Egyptian history) to the allegedly superficial (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). As she puts her nosiness to work every day in pursuit of new information about things that interest her, she hopes other people will use what she learns to boost their own brainpower.

HI Lisa Just wanted to say I enjoyed reading the Weekender magazine and you did an excellent job as editor. I wrote articles for the magazine as a freelance writer when David Morris was editor and have followed the magazine’s progress since then. I hope the future finds you doing something just as enjoyable.

Wow, thanks so much 🙂 Today is my first weekender-free day so you have brightened up what was otherwise a pretty sad occasion. And I love that you wrote for the magazine too. From what I heard David was a great editor so I bet the weekender team back then was as happy as it was when it ended. As for me, I’m not disappearing as I’m launching a food mag on the Coast in May. Just can’t seem to stay away from print 🙂 Cheers, Lisa
PS: Love your handle – so very true!
